Reenactment~
River Bend Farm

The Uxbridge Woman’s Club will be selling Apple
Crisp & Ice Cream from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the
Civil War Reenactment held at the River Bend Farm
located at the Visitor’s Center on Oak Street.

for this exciting event.

Bridges’ Bridge Dedication & Luncheon~
Mumford River Falls & Whitin Community Center
Saturday, October 11th, 2008
Alice Bridges was an Olympic Bronze Medal Winner in
the 1936 Olympics. She lived in Uxbridge and
practiced her swimming at the Whitinsville Community
Center. Please join us for the Bridge Dedication at
the Mumford Bridge, located next to Lynch’s Wine and
Spirits at 11:00am. A luncheon in her honor will be
held at the Whitinsville Community Center immediate
after the dedication. Ms. Bridges will be there will
her Olympic Medal. Tickets are available for $10
each. Please contact Judith Cherrington, Event
Chairman, for tickets and information.

Woman’s Club Fall Yard Sale~

V.F.W. Parking Lot
Do you have a few things that you’d like to sell in
a yard sale, but not enough to have it yourself?
Then come and join the Uxbridge Woman’s Club members
for a multi-family yard sale which will be held in
the V.F.W. parking lot. Spaces will be $10 per
space. Bring your own table, chairs and change.
There will also be a bake sale, to help raise money
for the Woman’s Club. Tables are limited and will be
sold on a first come, first serve basis. Please
contact Diane Bednarz, Chairman, if you’d like to
purchase a space or volunteer to bake for the bake
sale.

~Veterans Day
Parade~
Sunday,
November 9, 2008
The
Uxbridge Woman’s Club Members will be marching
together in the Veterans Day Parade. Help us carry
our Uxbridge Woman's Club Banner through
town! The Parade leaves from the CVS parking lot and
marches down Main Street, stopping at War Memorials
along the way. Please contact Joanne Moore if
interested in marching or if you have any questions.
Please join us in representing the Woman’s Club and
our Veterans at this event.
