Department and Standing Committees' Chairmen and Membership 2008-2010

AMERICAN HOME
Provides programs with information on personal health & well-being, finances, decorating, organizing, parenting, etc. Essentially, all aspects pertaining to the home.
Diane Moriarty, Chairman

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Initiates and participates in a wide array of community projects including but not limited to the school system, the police and fire departments, as well as other community organizations. This committee shall be allotted a designated amount of money for a community project of their choice, subject to the Executive Board approval.

CONSERVATION
Provides information on local, state and national environmental issues and conservation concerns.

EDUCATION
Provides the club with information on all aspects of education, both locally and statewide.

FINE ARTS & LITERATURE
Involves an appreciation and support of the Arts & local Artisans including but not limited to arts & crafts, writing, photography, music, drama, literature, etc. Also provides information on upcoming events & program ideas

HOSPITALITY
Coordinates hall set up for monthly and special meetings. Schedules and works with hostesses to provide refreshments for meetings.

INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Informs & educates club members as to the purpose and work being done through the International General Federation of Women's Clubs. May also provide information on a variety of different topics originating from places world-wide.

MEMBERSHIP
Responsible for recruitment of new members and to interest former members to rejoin. Also maintains all aspects of the membership process & record keeping.

NOMINATION
Responsible for all aspects of selecting club members for officer and standing committee positions.

PUBLIC RELATIONS/COMMUNICATIONS
Acts as a liason between the club and the local newspapers and community access channels to inform the community about the work we do as well as any upcoming events.

Awards annual scholarships to recipients.
