Uxbridge Woman's Club holds its
monthly meetings
at the Progressive Club on the first Wednesday of the
month from October through May. The meetings begin at 7:00pm,
unless otherwise noted. Dues are $25 per year, due March 1st to cover the
year beginning in October. You are not
required to be a resident of Uxbridge to join with
us.
Membership in
the Uxbridge Club
makes you a member of the General Federation of
Women's Clubs and entitles you to attend the State &
Federal meetings &
events.
All members are invited and encouraged to attend as
many of these they can. The meetings are very
rewarding and you will make new friends and glean
new ideas! The meetings include:

Club Institute - Held at the
VFW in Medway on the First Thursday of October,
December, March, and April. Club Institute is a
great time to meet with club members from around
the state, hear and see an interesting &
informative presentation, learn more about what
is going on at the
State level.

State Meetings are held at
Massachusetts Club Headquarters in Sudbury, MA.
Some are Executive Board meetings but for
non-board members there is plenty to do!
At Headquarters are the "Federation Day
in the Forest" in June and
the "Artist's Tea" in the
Spring (date to be announced).

Other State
meetings not held at Headquarters are: the Fall
(November) and Midwinter (Westborough, January) meetings which are open to all club
members.

Finally there
are the "Federation Day
at the Statehouse" (March) in Boston, and the
Annual Meeting held in
SeaCrest Resort & Conference Center in North
Falmouth in early May each year.

Regional
Conventions are
held once per year. Our 2006 New England Region
Conference was held in Rockport Maine. In 2007,
the N.E. Regional Conference was hosted by New
Hampshire. N.E. Regionals are open to all club
member and usually have some sort of theme. They
are fun and you will meet a ton of great people
and continue learning. There are Banquets,
workshops & Lunch & Learn sessions,
entertainment and many friendships are made.

GFWC
International Conventions are also held in different states each
year. In June 2006, GFWC members met in Denver
CO and two Uxbridge Club members attended. The 2007
GFWC International Convention will be held in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania June 9-11th. The 2008 GFWC
International Convention will be held in
Chicago, IL

save money by rooming with another GFWC member, from
your own or another club!
